weel it all depends on consumers preferences. apple has top notch products such as the ipad the ipod and the iphone. i own a macbook, a macbook air and a ipod. i purchased an htc desire z that runs android OS for a change of pace. android is awesome and more user friendly in my opinion there are still some kind of lags unlike the flawless OS of apple

in my opinion, apples only feature that wins them customers is their design. period

you pay twice for the hardware and the OS, just that it "looks better"....well, i'll stick to my PC and windows, Ubuntu for my Notebook.

its all i could ever need, for a price that seems ok to me

I used to think that but looking at the newst 27" imac I have changed my mind - the design aesthetics and support are the best in business - they are overpriced sure but they are also a status symbol

iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1 beta 4 is quite nice, it's much faster and more stable than any previous Apple's firmware, though the battery lifetime still sucks very badly, and camera sucks too, but overall I like it, though I loved my overclocked HTC DEsire HD much more...

Meh, they used a string of nice marketing tactics to be the 'underdog' for sometime, although I only own an iPod, I never really dove much into the OS itself (aside from playing around with KidPix and Oregon Trail on the really old mac's)
