Not likely. At least in recent time. They will not listen anybody. Our only hope are shareholders.

It looks like they are going the way of a subscription service. Instead of a new OS every three or so years we will have to pay for each six month or yearly update.

Steam supporting linux and the prospect of MS going subscription based could shake things up down the road.

Windows 8 with StartIsBack is not so bad after all, but still I prefer Windows 7 more. Windows 8 is not completely bad, it has some nice features.
