This is by far the best method yet, no 3rd party Add-on required nor about:config editing.
For this tutorial I'm using LastPass Add-on which stopped working after the latest Firefox Nightly 27.0a1 update.
1. Close Firefox and navigate here:
C:\Users\#Username#\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\#ProfileNumber#.default\extensions\[email protected]
2. Now search and open this file in Notepad:
install.rdf
3. Then search this:
<em:maxVersion>22.0</em:maxVersion>
4. Then replace 22.0 with 27.0a1, check following screenshot:
5. Then just Save it and relaunch Firefox
6. Your previously disabled Add-on is now enabled automatically by Firefox
