Steam for Linux, the digital distribution platform developed by Valve, has been patched again, this time bringing a fix for a bug that prevented users to run the application as root.

Steam for Linux is still in the Beta stage of development and Valve is making a lot of changes to the client.

Highlights of the new Steam for Linux update:

• A bug that prevented users from running Steam as the root user has been fixed
• An overlay-related input lag in the Anomaly Warzone Earth game has been fixed
• The Steam updater window is no longer resizable

A complete list of changes can be found in the official announcement. Keep in mind that this is Beta software, so problems are bound to appear.
