Ok guys here's some more pics on how i created the busbars.

Here's how I created my busbars looking at the image below I purchased a job lot of these off ebay
Thinking of future builds all where new.

Image

Looking at the image below you'll see I've removed the criss cross section and also cut off the first two holes has you see in the first picture and drilled some more the same size @ 1.5mm.

Image

Again looking below I then took the time to feed some copper wire through the holes & solder the wire this makes each side a live or neutral. I basically did the same for the smaller ones above has you see in the pictures.

Image

The last operation was to fill in with silicone. That's it busbars complete. I used double sided sticky foam and also applied some super glue gel to fix to the case.

LATEST PICS 29.08.2012

Pictures of side panel wiring.

looking below see how i wiered up & tidied up the wiring

Image

Ok looking below you'll see that ive marked out 12 Volt & 5 Volt rails

Looking at the top block at the bottom you'll see to the left is 5V+ & the opposit sied is 5V-

7 on the bottmom set you'll see you'll see to the left is 12V+ & the opposit sied is 12V-

Some peripherals require both 12 Volt & 5 Volt rails to fuction. bSo it's it's important to wire

up has you see in the pics, see how i've use wire i.d letters. So BD = BLU-RAY

Image

Again looking at the image below the main power feed comes from

The PSU from a molex plug,

Image

Below is a standard molex plug with the volts shown

Fan Grill modification

Bought has new in silver has seen below.

Image

Took the fan grills to work to give them a very fine blasting removing the chrome finish.

Image

Mission complete now in black, so your thinking why not buy black :O) i wanted scythe & you cant buy in black

Image

More pics coming soon guys happy modding.

9 X Fan enermax everest silence custom rebuild.

Bought 9 of the enermax everest silence fans has seen below.

Image

Took the fans to bits give the aluminium ring a very fine blasting for the spray paint to adhere to.

Has you can see again below.

Image

Process treatment for spying hang in oven for about 20 secs on gas mark 2 :lau1: dont over cook lol

Image

Starting to look better after being reassembled.

Image

Night vision of illumination, now where i come from that looks BANG TIDY :lau1: lol

Image

Now after looking into things like CFM's these are probably not the best, when i've seen

Others that will out perform these claiming to deliver just over 100CFM's i'd like to

Have fans with LEDS, i may change these towards the back end of the year but not yet

What would you recommend.

More pics coming soon

Thanks.

Bolt process:

looking below you'll see a plain type allen key head bolt
to which i have used for bolting the fans to the rad & to the case.

Image

Here we can see that i have now created taper head bolts by using the lathe
you can also see they have had a light blasting for preperation for spraying black.

Image

below the bolts have been sprayed and placed in the oven to help the drying process
gas mark 2 for about 15/20 seconds turn gas off & leave in the oven for about half hour to dry fully.

Image

There ya'go finished item think they look much better than a plain cap head bolt.

Image

I'll post a few more pics of some of the smaller projects before we start on the good stuff

its all the small things that make it look better on its overall finished build.

every little helps as they say :lau1:

Enjoy

Home made L.E.D. bars

I purchased some 1/2" square aluminium bar off ebay, cut to my required size. I start by

giving them a light blasting so the acrylic paint will adhere to, i've made a few of these up

for the new build due to having issues over the last few yaers with cold cathode lamps,

as sometimes they seem to die at one end and with this build i didn't want any problems

regarding lighting after completing the build.

Image

As you can see below the L.E.D.S. seem to imit enough illuminance

forgot to mention the L.E.D.S only cost me £1.49.00 GBP off ebay

Image

More pics to follow

CASE MODIFICATION:

Ok guy's here come's the beast code name "EXTREME MONSTA"

Bought one of the corsair Obsidion 800D's not much to say only "AWESOME"

purchased from off the internet at what was the cheapest at the time £237.00GBP

some would say i'm was completly mad putting the multi dremel type cutter to it hey

you've just got to know what your doing and see past it. enjoy the pics.

Image

Out the the box & looking sweet.

Image

All marked out ready for cutting.

Image

Hey come on lets getting cutting.

Image

Cutting complete.

Image

Removed the bottom drive bays not required for me.

Image

Image

Image

Fitted new panel and covered with the carbon effect vinyl

Image

Hey the radiator looks sickage as my kids would say - lol

Image

All six fans are now fitted and working.

Image

Looking sweet.

Image

More pics coming soon.

LIQUID COOLING LOOP BELOW

Ok guy's lets take a look down below at how i've configured some of the pipe work

for the liquied cooling loop. Ok looking below

Image

Pipe work starting to come on.

Image

All the square blocks i made at work they are 28mm square just right size

so you can adjust the bitspower fittings without catching the case.

Below is one of the blocks made from aluminium.

Image
Image

aligning the holes on the the rear for the reservoir to pass through.

Image

Bitspower fittings & a enzotech dual rotary to make the connection Piece

for the liquied to loop through the reservoir.

Image
Image

All connected now the bottom part of the loop is complete.

Image
Image

Enjoy guys, just to mention that this build as been in progress

since last november although i've had a few changes on the way.

i'm currantly working on the final piece which is total "SICKAGE"

You'll see i will probably make you all puke. -lol-

More pics coming soon.

Ok guy's more pics from the build.

see how i connected the loop to the reservoir & pumps i basically did the same for the inlet.

Image

Image belows shows how i covered the side for the drive bays

after removing the plastic cover that comes as standard.

Image

Holes drilled for dual reservoir filling.

Image

L.E.D.S. Added to the under side of the case for that little extra bling -lol-

Image

Also removed the rubber feet & replaced with aluminium for easy sliding on & off desk.

Image

Here i had a big change of mind after buying the MARS 2, i wanted the 3 - 8pin cables

to go through the plate.

Image
Image
Image
Image

Ok i added a little filler here help make it much better

for laying the carbon vinyl effect wrap due to lumps & bumps.

Image

i boared out the threads on the bitspower fitting so no thread effect showing

give them a little spray got to admit that plate now looks pretty sick.

Image

More pics coming soon.

Reservoir & pump assembly.

Image

Image

I used two on the push button type switch with the illuminated blue ring

Sorry guy's i cant help myself -lol-

Image

The wiring caused me a proper headache but i got their in the end.

Image

Now fitted in to the front of the case each pump as its on button.

Image

More pics coming soon.

Rear reservoir assembly.

Here's a few images of the Rear reservoir assembly & pipe work & bitspower connections

passing through the case, the res is just over 400mm X 80mm from Koolance.

Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

Looking good.

Image

More pics coming soon.

Lower case moddification.

Ok guys here's what i came up with to discreetly hide the PSU and mass of cables etc.

The plate is 1mm think aluminium, with a 1.5mm perspex rear plate to which i gave it a

very fine blasting to create an opaque effect or frosted effect so we can't see anything

in the lower section of the case.

Image

Image

Image

Here is how the plate slides in & out.

Image

looks very nice with the side panel on

Image

Below you can see the L.E.D. bars i made to illuminate the MONSTA cut out.

I also used a little silicone to fix them up, to prevent them falling down.

Image

Looks much better now after applying the carbon vinyl wrap.

Image

looking awesome now in place & all them cables you cant see.

Image

Image

Side panel on & illuminated looking awesome.

Image

Image

Ok guy's the build is almost complete i'll upload a few more pics

Then you have seen the new build, the best is to come.

Image

Hope you've enjoyed the pics so far

Last few pics coming soon.

Front skull head with HDD activity leds.

Ok guys check out the image below for the finishing touches to the EXTREME MONTSA

I purchased a couple of the skull fan grill guards from mnpctech.

as you can see below i bolted it to some wood to which it had a square block behind it

i then put it in the lathe using a four jaw chuck got it centered up & put a 2mm groove in the rear side

Image

This was to fit the mesh going around the fan grill guard i also put on the inside stuck to the mesh

some plastic card to which i gave it a slight sanding to create a frosted effect so you couldn't see inside.

Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

Well its been a real pleasure sharing all the images with you guys & its been a good

10 to 11 months project, there as been many changes on the way ive got one little project to finish

which is a back plate for the sound card i'll get round to it some time soon i hope.

anyway you can see the EXTREME MONSTA its its glory as a finished project.

I'm also working on a VIDEO to which i will also post and let you have a good look round.

Holy crap you went all out on that! I love how you organized the wires on the back. can you post some details on that? maybe an how to? Is that the double reservoir from koolance? I have that one. I had a lot of headache with it and decided to remove it. The liquid flow was not good at all.

Hi Neuropass. Yes mate the res is a Koolance 452x2 with two Laing D5 pumps with Variable Speed as for the wiring I'll try my best with a tutorial the bottom rails are 12v and the top rails are 5v I'll post some pics on how I made the busbars ETC although I'm away at the end of this week, but like I said I'll try my best and keep the topic alive with plenty of updates

Cool, looking forward to see specs and tutorial for the wires. Let me know how it goes with the reservoir. I had also a problem with the bezel. The central screw got loose as soon as I tight it.
